C8 Armourer Course Developing Maintenance Skills
Course Outline
The Colt Canada C8A2 and MRR Armourer Course is a unique three-day course that is designed for officers who are responsible for weapon maintenance, inspection, or evaluation. Class size is typically limited to nine officers. Colt Canada Armourer Certifications are valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issuance.

• Advanced Trouble Shooting
• Detailed Theory of Operation
• Preventative Maintenance and Detailed Repair
Techniques
• Tests, Adjustments and Gauges
• Alternative Weapon Configurations and
Identification
• Theory of Energy and Dynamics, Metallurgy
• Associated Equipment Disassembly, Inspection, Adjustment and Repair
NOTE: All firearms and tools are provided by Colt Canada for the duration of the course

C8 Armourer Course Certification Renewal
Colt Canada also offers a 1 day recertification course for full time agency armourer staff. This course is intended as a refresher course to ensure armourers are up to date and confident in continuing their roles as officers responsible for weapon maintenance, inspection, or evaluation. These courses are hosted on an as-required basis at Colt Canada.

NOTE: Please contact a Colt Canada Law Enforcement Representative to discuss prerequisites. Colt Canada has the discretion to accept other applicants to the recertification courses on a case-by-case basis.

Colt Canada Courses can also be customized to fit your training requirements or facility. Colt Canada trainers have set up training courses from Vancouver to New Brunswick in Canada as well as many in Europe. Custom courses can be held at either Colt Canada’s facility or an offsite agency facility.
Colt Canada also offers armourer training on the C20 Semi-Automatic Sniper Weapon system and the CZ P-10 Pistol Series through custom courses as requested.
